It has been an utter whirlwind of magic at Mushie Heights since one of Kylie’s books featured on BBC2’s The Great British Menu.
So how did this all happen?
Just before Christmas the BBC contacted Kylie’s publisher to ask if she would be happy with them showing some illustrations and my book on the old tellybox!
Of course Kylie said yes!
Especially when she found out that Cal Byerley, a Northeast Michelin star chef had chosen Inkcap & The Blight of The Bonnets as his inspiration for a dish!
This stunning starter (pictured above) named ‘The Magical World of Mushrooms’ which Cal created to represent her dads allotment which features in the story.
Kylie is especially thankful that after these two illustrations were shown on the show, she has had requests from across the country for prints of her artwork.

Book sales are flying in from everywhere and is something she never thought would happen.
